Cohort 1 of the Oxford Agentic Bootcamp ran on Tuesday 21 July 2026 at St Anne's College, Oxford. Sixteen founders, directors and senior professionals spent the day taking a real workflow apart, building agents and skills against their own work, and working through what it takes to bring that back into an organisation. No coding was involved.

Questions
What did people in Cohort 1 actually build?
Real tasks from their own work rather than a set exercise, so they varied. The ones that surfaced in the room were lead generation, internal reporting and marketing content. The common shape was a step that gathers, a step that produces and a step that checks, handing off to each other. If your task has that shape, it will fit the day.
Do I need to be technical?
No, and that is not the whole answer. No coding is required and the day is facilitated in the room, so nobody spends it stuck on setup. Nothing is hand-waved either: part of the day goes on where these workflows break, how you would notice and what you constrain. Engineers are welcome, and several people who build AI for a living came to Cohort 1.
What should I bring?
A laptop, and one real task from your own work that currently costs you meaningful time each week. That task is what you build against all day. A paid plan such as ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro gets you more out of it, but it is not essential and we make sure everyone can take part either way.
Can I install software on my work laptop?
Worth checking before you book. Corporate and government devices often block new tool sign-ups, and the day involves setting things up on your own machine. This caught people out in Cohort 1, so it is better found now than at 09:30 on the day. If your laptop is locked down, email hello@oxfordagentic.com and we will work out what you need beforehand.
How do I justify this to my manager?
If you need to put it in an email, this is the version that survives being forwarded: a day out to build one working agentic workflow on a task we already do by hand every week, and come back able to build the next one without help. Pricing is on the booking page, so the numbers are easy to attach.
How big is the cohort?
Small, and capped. Cohort 1 ran with sixteen. The day is facilitated rather than lectured, which stops working in a large room. The exact number of places left is on the booking page.
Who is it not for?
People who want a conceptual overview of AI - this is a build day, not a briefing. Anyone who cannot bring a real task from their own work, because the whole day runs against one and without it you get a demonstration instead of an outcome. And anyone expecting a vendor or platform pitch, because no tool is being sold.
