The limit on what AI can do for you is rarely the model. It is that the model has never met your business. This day fixes that, with your own material, in a room of people working on exactly the same problem.

What is the Oxford Second Brain Bootcamp?

How is this different from the Oxford Agentic Bootcamp?
The Agentic Bootcamp is about building workflows - pipelines of AI steps that do a task. The Second Brain Bootcamp is about building context - the store of your own knowledge those tools draw on. They compound: a workflow gets better the moment it can read your second brain. Start with whichever ceiling you have hit first.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you use AI tools most days you have everything the day requires. The work is deciding what your context is and structuring it - thinking clearly about your own business, not writing code.
Who is it not for?
People who want a conceptual overview of AI - this is a build day, not a briefing. Anyone who cannot bring their own material, because the day is spent populating a second brain with real documents and notes, and without them you leave with a template rather than a second brain. Anyone expecting a vendor or platform pitch: no tool is being sold, and the day is deliberately not a tutorial in one app. And anyone whose work laptop blocks new sign-ups, which is worth checking first.
Which AI tools does this work with?
The ones you already use. A second brain is your own material, structured and stored so a model can read it. It is not a feature of any one product, and the day is not a tutorial in a particular app: it is spent deciding what your context is, organising it, and then connecting it to the tools you work in. That is deliberate. Tools change, and a second brain built inside one of them has to be rebuilt when you move.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop, and your own material - the documents, notes and examples that carry how you work and what you know. The day is spent populating a second brain with real content rather than a template, so bringing genuine material matters more than any preparation.
Can I install software on my work laptop?
Worth checking before you book. Corporate and government devices often block new tool sign-ups, and the day involves connecting a second brain to the tools you work in, on your own machine. This caught people out at the first Oxford Agentic Bootcamp, so it is better found now than at 09:30 on the day. If your laptop is locked down, email hello@oxfordagentic.com and we will work out what you need beforehand.
What if my material is confidential?
A useful test is to bring what you would be comfortable putting in an email to an external supplier, and leave out the rest. Credentials, keys and other people's personal data do not belong in a second brain in any form. That still leaves most of what makes AI answers specific to you: how you write, what good looks like, and the decisions you have already made and why.
Where in Oxford is it held?
In central Oxford. Cohort 1 is at the Pitt Rivers Museum on South Parks Road. The exact venue and date are confirmed on each event's own page.
Can I bring my team, or book for several people?
Yes. Teams are welcome, and bringing a colleague means the same approach goes back to work with two of you rather than one. Email hello@oxfordagentic.com and we will arrange it.
What if I book but cannot make the date?
Your place transfers to a future cohort at no charge. A date that no longer works should not mean a lost seat - just let us know and we will move you.
